How much do you charge?
I charge by piece, but it usually comes out to around $160/hr.

Why are tattoos so expensive?
Tattoos are a luxury service, and the fine line style is extremely popular right now. Demand for this style outweighs supply, especially out in the suburbs, and I charge accordingly. The cost of supplies is also very high as many items are one time use and disposable.

I want to make changes to my design. Will that change the cost?
Minor adjustments typically do not affect price, but drastic changes from what is listed in your appointment submission form could change the cost, and may require that we reschedule depending on time constraints. I follow the information in your submission form very closely, so it is the client's responsibility to be clear on what they want, otherwise any additional costs incurred due to changes in design are on the client.

What is a deposit?
A deposit is money paid upfront for the tattoo, and can be anywhere from $50-150 depending on the tattoo.

Why do you take a deposit?
Leaving a deposit shows me that you are serious about getting tattooed, and lessens the financial blow in case of last minute cancellations or no-shows. Tattoo artists do not get paid for being at the studio, if I'm not tattooing then I'm not getting paid. Please make sure that you are well prepared for the cost prior to booking with me.

What types of payment do you accept?
I can take cash, card, Venmo, or Zelle! There is, however, a 2.7% processing fee to take card payments.

Am I supposed to tip you?
Tips are never required but always appreciated! I set my own rates and do not depend on tips to make a living. It should also be noted that tipping practices will never affect your chances of getting into my books.

Do you offer gift cards?
No.

Do you offer payment plans?
No.

Do you do trades?
I do, but please reach out to me through email maeyi.tattoos@gmail.com or Instagram @mae.tattoo to hash out the details. I'm usually interested in oddities, specifically skulls, taxidermy, and diaphonized specimens! I'm currently not interested in trading for beauty services.
