Aftercare
~ Saniderm can stay on for a maximum of 7 days. You may take it off early if it begins peeling or if any redness and irritation occurs. ~ You can shower with Saniderm, but do not soak your tattoo for at least 2-3 weeks. This means no baths, pools, hot tubs etc.~ You will see a buildup of blood and plasma mixed with ink underneath the Saniderm. This is perfectly normal. If there's a large buildup or any leaking, remove the Saniderm. ~ Once the Saniderm is removed, gently wash your tattoo with an unscented antibacterial soap and pat or air dry.~ Apply a very thin layer of unscented moisturizer 2-3 times a day for 2-3 weeks or until the tattoo is fully healed (no more peeling, dry, or cracked skin). ~ Do not pick or scratch at your tattoo as this can damage it during the healing process. ~ Do not swim or suntan for at least 3-4 weeks.~ Do not re-bandage your tattoo after the initial bandage is removed.
~ Remove your bandage in 1-2 hours, or when you get home. ~ Gently wash your tattoo with unscented antibacterial soap until surface ink and ointment is washed off. ~ Pat dry or let air dry.~ Apply a very thin layer of unscented moisturizer 2-3 times a day for the next 2-3 weeks or until your tattoo is fully healed (no more peeling, dry, or cracked skin). ~ Do not pick or scratch at your tattoo as this can damage it during the healing process. ~ Avoid swimming and suntanning for at least 3-4 weeks. ~ Do not re-bandage the tattoo after the initial bandage is removed.
